I have been with the LCM school district for 18 years. I began teaching Kindergarten at Mauriceville Elementary in 1998. I remained in that position for 14 years before moving to prekindergarten. This is my 4th year teaching pre-k and I absolutely love it.
After graduating from college, I began my teaching career in Bridge City ISD. I was there for 8 years before moving to LCM.
I married my husband, Don Bussell, in 1990. We have 3 grown children. My oldest son is employed with Team Industries. My middle son graduated with his associate degree and is now employed with an engineering company doing environmental work. My youngest daughter is currently enrolled at Angelo State University in San Angelo. She is working toward a degree in physical therapy. I am a proud Nayni (grandmother) to the most beautiful one year old little girl named Austyn Arya. I am the happy owner of 1 very protective labradoodle and 2 crazy cats.
When I am not working, I spend time with my family at our lake house- fishing, floating, and reading. I love spending time with my family and friends on summer cruises in the Caribbean. I also enjoy refurbishing furniture and redoing a different room in my house each summer break. Garage sales and thrift stores are also another activity I enjoy while I bargain shop with my sisters. In the last year or so, I have started a side hobby of painting signs. (find me on Facebook: The Painted Pallet)
