About Me

Educational History:

I graduated form Little Cypress Mauriceville High School in 1994.  I graduated from Lamar University in May of 1999.

Degrees and Certifications:

I have a BS degree in Education.  I am certified to teach Pre-K through 5th grade.  I have earned an ESL certification as well as a Gifted and Talented Certification.

Professional Experience

Current Position:

I have been teaching at Mauriceville Elementary since 2000.  My first year here, I taught Kindergarten.  Then, I moved up a grade level and taught first grade for the next 12 years.  For one year, I taught third grade math and science.  Then, I returned to teaching first grade.  This year I am teaching math to several grade levels as a math interventionist.

Previous Position:

Prior to teaching at MVE, I taught one year in Kindergaten for West Orange Cove CISD at Anderson Elementary.

Family Information:

I am married.  My husband's name is Jerald.  We have two precious boys.  Their names are Mason and Marcus.  Mason is eleven years old, and Marcus is nine years old.  We have two puppies named Maggie and Molly.  They are both cocker spaniels.

Personal Information:

When I am not teaching, I am home watching my boys play and sometimes am even chasing after them.  They keep me on my toes!
