ARI
I am currently the ARI/Dyslexia/GT teacher for 2nd grade. I have been with the district for 15 years. I taught first grade for 6 years, then moved to 2nd grade PLUS for 4 years. I have been in my current position for 5 years and love the benefits and rewards from this job. Working with students in small group settings provide you with the oppurtunity to learn students individual strengths and weaknesses enabling you to better serve each student.
I graduated from WV University with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. After graduating I substituted for Jackson County Schools in West Virginia from January until June. I applied to school districts all over the golden triangle because I wanted to come back to my hometown area. I was hired at Mauriceville Elementary as a First Grade teacher and have had the enjoyment of working here ever since.
My family :
When I am not teaching, I am trying to enjoy my family as much as possible. I love playing games, watching movies, or reading books together. I believe life is a precious gift from God and we should do the most we can with it.
