I graduated from Lamar Univerisity, Beaumont, TX.
I graduated from Tri-County High School in Howard City, MI.
I’ve graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies.
My teaching certifications include EC-6 Generalist, EC-12 ESL, History 7-12, and Social Studies 4-8.
I’ve completed the READ Grant Professional Development Course through the state of Texas along with keeping my ESL and Gifted and Talented certifications updated.
I taught 8th grade History at West Orange Cove and 7th & 8th grade History at Vidor Jr. High.. I also taught for 6 years at Vidor Middle School 6th grade Social Studies. I’ve taught Elementary for 7 years. I’ve been at Mauriceville Elementary for 6 years.
I’ve been married for 35 years to my husband Ron. Together we raised our 3 children, Nathaniel, Andrew, and Ashton. Ron and I met in the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, NC. We both lived in Okinawa, Japan where our first son was born. We’ve lived in Texas for 34 years. We’ve 3 Maltese Pups: Molly, Myley, and Dill.
I enjoy reading, music, travel, and eating. I play piano and organ along with singing with my family. I enjoy the outdoors gardening and bird-watching.
